I've always been overweight with most of my adult life floating around 280. About 5 years ago I started working as an IT Manager and worked more inside at a desk than in the field work. I slowly gained up to almost 375 before bouncing between there and 340. I was diagnosed with fatty liver after a check on my cholesterol and liver function revealed abnormal liver function tests. I was told in no less terms, lose weight or die in as soon as 10 years. I tried losing the weight naturally but never could lose signifigant amounts or keep it off. I then decided I needed to have a weight loss surgery. After much investigation, I decided on the VSG. I will be having it performed by Dr. Stewart in Denton, TX in the near future. The date isn't actually set yet but should be sometime soon. I will be cash pay due to my insurance excluding obesity related treatments.
