"I was very satisfied with Dr. Stewart and his staff. I felt confident in his abilities and knowledge of the surgery options. I felt that he was very honest and up front with me about my choice of surgery and why it may or may not be the best for me. He explained fully the amount of weight loss generally seen with the VSG and that it may not be as high as some others. He explained the advantages and disadvantages of the VSG. I really felt that he left the decision to me, but wanted me to be fully educated on the medical reasons for or against any specific surgery. Being self-pay, it was a very quick process from start to finish. I met with Dr. Stewart for my initial consultation less than a month before my surgery. He essentially told me as soon as I could get my labs done we could schedule surgery. It was a very simple process. I also felt that I am able to get the proper follow up care by his staff. They gave me their email address and phone numbers and told me to call or write anytime with questions. Overall I'm very satisfied with the entire process.
Update for almost a year out - Everything has been going great. I'm down about 155 pounds, at goal and trying(somewhat successfully) to not lose anymore. I havn't been able to make an appt past 3 months since I am 7 hours away and too busy at work for the past 8 months. Will be going back soon. Sue has been great with contacting me over the phone with lab results and such. I'm suprised actually with that considering I was told the cost only covers the first 3 months after surgery so I had no expectation of any support if I didn't return for follow ups. I do plan to make it to a one year follow up soon though, as soon as time permits. I have had no complications, very happy with the entire surgery and my choice of surgeons. Couldn't have asked for or expected better quality of care by all involved. Would strongly encourage anyone to use Dr. Stewart. "
