To all of Dina's WLS friends: I am sad to report that Dina passed away in February 2020. To my knowledge she had been ill and taking nausea meds. She had a broken foot and was on medical leave from work. She passed in her sleep peacefully and I miss her so much. She was my friend from early childhood. Rest in Peace my beautiful friend. Watch over me as I seek a revision from RNY to something else that will work.

hi, congrads on the weight loss. my name is Stacy i live in illinois i seen you and i have the same surgery date thought we could chat sometime. i am down from 427 to 270 and loving every minunute of life again.. keep smiling one day someone will ask you why you are so happy......stacy beck keep up the great work.

Well, it’s official! You’re on the losing side. The trumpets are blaring, the cymbals are crashing and the drums are drumming – all for YOU! I hope that all went well for you! You’ve been out of surgery now for a little over a month – YIPPIE!!! Your journey will have moments to “pause” – I’d like to impart some words of wisdom for when it does occur - remember these wise words whispered by Confucius – “It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.” Be patient. You didn’t put it on over night, it won’t come off over night (DARN IT!)…Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly and take lots of pictures…the transformations will make your jaw drop!!! RNY 10/31/03 – down 88 pounds!!! Good luck!

I just phoned over to the Cardiomed to check on Dina after her surgery this morning. I was told in very limited English that Dina was in her room asleep and her friend had returned to the hotel. I did not get an answer at the hotel, but feel confident that Dina is doing well at this point. We can all give thanks for another life forever changed by Dr. Aguirre. I am going to try back a little later this afternoon and will keep the board updated with what I find out!!!
