Over the past 7 years I continued to struggle with my weight. So, I decided to remove my Lap Band to have Gastric Bypass.  I am hopefully on my way to the size I desire.

I was approved to have the surgery before (2xs) but I backed out; at the time I was not ready. I wanted to try one more supervised diet, and I did. Guess what...the weight loss was short lived and I gained all of the weight back and some. So here I am again

2/7/2008 All, I am doing well. Like most people who had Lap Band surgery, weight-loss is very slow. I've lost 48 pounds so far; I could loss more if I work out consistently. I am re-committing and expecting much success this year. Aside from the slow weight-loss, no side effects, feeling great and doing great!

9/1/07 I am now at 6ccs in a 10cc band. Weightloss is slow in my book but on track according to my physician.

5/26/07Met with Dr. Lin and got my surgery dae, June 19th. Finally!

Hello all! Just wanted to give you a quick update. The approval process has slowed down a bit due to my busy schedule. As a result, to have to reschedule my surgery. I am not too bummed, as I am the one that is holding up the process. Between work, school, and family, I have not had the time to keep up with my appointments. ENOUGH EXCUSES! I am focused and ready to get this party started. Next steps:

Primary Care review/clearance - scheduled (2/1)
EKG, blood work, chest x-ray, EGD, Stress echo, and pulmonary
Approval
Consul w/doctor

Ok, here is where I am...I've decided to be "Banded". Through my self-assessment I found that the Bypass procedure was too much for me. I know any surgery is risky, I just want to minimize my risk. So, I am planning on having the Lap Band procedure hopefully in February..... NOT
