July 8th is the Big Day

I received an email from Aetna that I was precertified June 10th and received my letter June 16th. I am scheduled for July 8th for surgery. I hit a bit of a snag and I'm hoping everything works out. Another employee is off on medical leave and we don't know when she is returning. The office manager and my supervisor have asked me to possibly postpone my surgery date. I think it's outrageous to expect me to do that. It's like they don't sense the importance of this surgery.
Feeling like a failure

I feel like a failure because I have been unable to control my weight and have let myself get to the point where WLS is the answer. In other areas of my life I am very disclipined, but apparently not when it comes to weight control.
My friend Shanna says I shouldn't feel like a failure because I'm not. There are many causes for weight gain.
