I am very, very blessed! My husband and I first met when we were four years old.
We were in Cherub Choir together at church and even sang together on TV when we were eight.
Shortly thereafter, he and his parents moved to the other side of town and we lost touch with each other. We saw each other again, across a crowded room, at age 18, at a wedding of mutual friends at that same church.
That was June 15, 1968. We married the following year, and are still married almost 39 years
later. We fell in love to Blood, Sweat & Tears singing, "You Made Me So Very Happy", but it is God's "Amazing Grace" and His love that has kept us together.
After son #3 came along, I started putting on weight that has never come off. Since that was
27 years ago, I can no longer use that as an excuse for being so overweight. After waiting
nearly a year, my surgery is just days away. I am a teacher and have 3 friends at school who have been banded, and I believe they will be there for me as I continue this journey.
Bill & I have 3 precious sons, one wonderful daughter-in-law and 2 precious granddaughters. I
want to be able to run around with those girls and be a blessing to them and I hope, to others in my life. Losing the extra weight will help me do that, I believe... Preparation for the rest of
my life has been going on for 59 years. I am excited about the future for I know the Best is yet to come... come, join me along the journey!
