The journey begins

Dec 29, 2009

Went to the Phsyc. eval. follow-up yesterday on the 28th of Dec. Don't know why he had to tell me all three types of classifications they do for the evaluation, but got a little nervous, then he showed me what my assesment was and explained what they look for, I think they do that so you know they aren't classifying you as crazy, so the end of the story is I qualify as a candidate for WLS.

My journey will start after the first of the "NEW YEAR". I keep playing the Pointer Sisters song "I'm so excited over and over in my head", that's how I felt as I got back in the car and my husband was sitting there. I wanted to jump and shout it to the world.

Getting nervous

Nov 18, 2009

Nov.18, 2009
Okay so I got the ball rolling and thought that things were gonna go smooth. Called Dr. Edwards office on Monday was told that the Nurse co-ordinator's assistant was concerned because I am on blood thinners (Plavix). I responded with the fact that I have had two proceedures that required me to stop taking the Plavix 5 days b4 and had no problems. I don't see why they should be concerned about that. If I get all of this weight off I could probably quit taking the Plavix anyway.
They should at least give me a consultation and they haven't done that. So I still don't know anything and all I want is an answer to can they do surgery or not. If not then I can try another Dr..
