I have surgery on May 28, 2004. The precedure was suppose to be done lap but the surgeons had to convert to an open procedure. I had a total of 67 staples, cut from breast bone to pubic....... and if I knew that I had to go through all that again to be where I am today..... I would do it again in a New York minute. This surgery has been the best thing that I ever did for me. I have enjoyed so many first. My husband has his little wife back. My kids have a healthy more active mom and I have a healthier happy ME!
I have a huge story on my profile and since OH has changed, I have lost everything. Makes me sad, as I enjoyed going back and reading my own story because I went through so much. I actually had the surgery scheduled once and canceled from fear and rescheduled and well, you get the picture.... I wish I had all of that..... it even had been I reached the century club, which I can't remember when that was.... I guess I should of kept a diary someplace besides just here on OH!
Anyway, if you are reading this and you are wondering if you are making the right choice....... all I can say is.... I DID! This surgery has to be a personal decision and fears are normal.......... Good luck and I pray you make the right decision for you!
