I am 22, I have been overweight most of my life, only after having my son did my weight get super out of control. I am currently at 270 and I am 5'6. I am scheduled to have lapband surgery on may 9th 2007. I am so nervous, but i think I am more nervous about the getting put to sleep and the pre-op diet (opti-fast for 2 weeks...ouch!) I work in retail, at penningtons 14+ (some of you may be familiar, lol), I had a really hard time telling my co-workers for fear of offending them, but i got it out and they seem really supportive, (at least to my face). I will be travelling across canada to get my surgery, I found a great, experienced surgeon in Toronto, and I live in Victoria B.C. on Vancouver Island.
