Hi, my name is Jennifer and my surgery is scheduled for July 10, 2007 with Dr Sloan in Fort Wayne.
I decided over 5 years ago that this surgery was what I wanted and I have been trying since then to get it. My old insurance wanted me to do an 18 month diet before they would approve me, so I began optifast. Optifast wasn't too bad, but it was not a permanent solution for me. I lost 40lbs and gained back 60. I didn't begin gaining it back until I was very stressed out, but it came back with a vengance.
This time I have a new insurance and the fact that I had been in optifast, plus all more co-morbidities and such, got them to approve me. Which is good in a way, but bad in that I am THAT bad off.
