I cannot wait toget back to working out with my trainer - I had to stop working out at the beginning of May due to some complications with my pregnancy. I have lost/kept off 194 lbs. I am hoping to lose another 20-30 lbs, but even if I cannot lose more, I am SO happy with where I am now.
I still have loose skin on my arms, legs and stomach. No money for plastic surgery so I will just have to deal with it for now! My stomach bothers me the least because no one ever sees it but my husband. My arms are toned under the flab so I wish that would go away, but what can you do. I just keep looking at pictures of the "old" me, and a little arm skin is NOT the end of the world!
I am eating pretty normally these days. I do eat carbs (say it isn't so!) and have dessert now and then. The difference...I am not CONSTANTLY eating, can't eat large portions, and don't want to. I am into trying new, healthy recipes, and love that it is grilling season. So easy to cook on the grill and generally healthy, too.
When I had surgery I knew I was not going to rely on protein supplements, stay away from sugar and carbs for the rest of my life. I eat my protein, mostly in the form of chicken breasts, drink 2 glasses of skim plus milk a day. Take my vitamins and supplements. Drink water. I love my lifestyle. I eat what I want, know my limits, and am the happiest I have been in a long time.
I still think having surgery was the best thing I have ever done for myself and would do it again in a heartbeat!

I actually found out at the end of November that I was prenant, and am due in August with a baby boy! True blessing for me and my husband as I had 2 miscarriages when I was very heavy. Much of the reason I wanted to have surgery in the first place was to be healthier so I could carry a baby to term. I am feeling good and have only gained about 6 lbs :)
It is really weird after losing, losing, losing for months to have to be eating more and actually gaining weight. But, I am, of course, watching what I eat and trying to make good choices, though I will admit I don't always! Pregnancy cravings are a whole new thing for me...but not an excuse to undo all the hard work I have done to lose 200 lbs.
I do still work out 2 x a week with a trainer. We have had to modify my workouts a bit as I get further into pregnancy, but otherwise doing really good!

Feeling so good!

On my way home from shopping I just felt so good about me. I am so happy I put myself first, for once, and had surgery. I did not have the debillitating co-morbidities that some people have, but I had some, and what really scared me was wondering what I would be like in 10 yrs if I did not do something. I FEEL wonderful. I work out 4 or 5 days a week. I would have never thought that would be me. I enjoy my life so much more. I dont have to wonder how far I am going to have to walk when I go somewhere, because now I can walk for miles! Last year, grocery shopping had me winded.
I just wanted to get my thoughts out here about how grateful I am that I was able to have surgery, that I had no complications, and am really starting to enjoy life again.
I even was telling some women in Lane Bryant that I had surgery - I love sharing my story! Surgery is not for everyone, but it is certainly an option, and I think that people hear a lot more of the negative than the postive, so I am happy to spread my happy story!
I still have a long way to go - ideally 70 more lbs, but for once I really believe I can do it. I will never be a supermodel, and that is OK. As long as I feel great and dont have tons of extra weight keeping me from doing the things I want to do, I will be more than blessed!
7 month measurements

Just did my measurements today. I am down 115 lbs since surgery, and 141 total. Down a total of 61.25 inches.I have gone from a size 32 to an 18/20. It has been amazing! I feel wonderful, am working out for the first time in years. Many aches and pains are gone, sleep apnea and snoring are gone. My cholesterol went from 203 to 144. I am so pleased with my results so far. I still have a long way to go, but am so motivated to keep these changes I have made!
