I am 36 years old and I am obese. I called a bariatric surgeon and planned to go, but I haven't gone yet I'm scared as all hell but I know I want to do this so I can feel good about myself and look better. One step at a time right? My hobbies are music. I love music, and all kinds. Well I shouldn’t say all kinds. I love Freestyle, Latin and Pop. Boy Bands are my ultimate favorite. I blame New Kids On The Block for that. LOL I love to play games on the internet and watching tv. I love building websites. I am a novice at this so I put a lot of pressure on myself to make it perfect. I know that one day, I will fully know how to make a really great website. Its still under construction so please bear with me. LOL I have made a list of the things I want to accomplish after I get the surgery. Things I haven’t done in such a long time and some things I want to for the first time.
1. Learn To Drive. (I was scared that I couldn’t fit behind the wheel, but now hopefully I will be able to and learn instead of taking the bus. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
2. Buy new clothes. (I always wondered what it would be like to buy clothes for skinny people, and it will be a dream come true for me. LOL)
3. Wear heels again. (I have waited this long, but not anymore. :))
4. Stand without getting back pain. (That would be a blessing to stand inj one place without getting a sharp pain in my back and screaming in pain afterwards)
5. Work (Temp jobs don’t cut it and with this weight loss, I will be able to go to any interview and hold my head up high.)
6. Travel (NO MORE SECOND BELT FOR AIRPLANES. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!)
7. Go On A Cruise (Have been wanting to go one for years in a skimpy bathing suit. LOL)
8. Get Professional Photos Taken (I’m not a vain person, but I would like to capture myself in a different light with great pictures of my new life.) Cosmo and Vogue, expect my calls, emails and Fed Ex Packages!!!!
9. Have a relationship, get married and have children. (It’s been way to long.......And I miss companionship.)
10. Tell all of the ignorant people to kiss my butt. I SOOOOOOOOOOO cant wait for that.
It’s a slippery slope to be honest with you and I will have to tread cautiously because once the word gets out, I will be bombarded with people telling me that I am crazy for considering this and I shouldn’t do it. But I have to make the decision to do this right? I know a lot of people care about me and love me and all, but this is a decision that it has been a long time coming and I finally figured out that this is what I have to do. No one can make this decision but yourself. If anyone has any words of encouragement and etc, please feel free to pass it on. I can use all of the support I can get.
