Dr. Dr.!

Jun 20, 2014

So, I'm in NYC and I'm trying to find a Bariatric Doctor that will take me on as a patient.  I was put in contact with one through my most recent "chest pain" experience at the emergency room a couple of weeks ago.  So She wanted to see my medical records from Georgia before she actually met with me.  So I get my records forwarded to her office and I hadn't heard from them.  So I call earlier this week to see if they were received.  To my delight they were (this after playing phone tag for two days with the office manager).  So I speak to the office manager and she tells me that the doctor is in surgery all week and that she will go over my records with her on Friday (today).  So I'm anxiously awaiting a call.  I've also been researching a  support group and found one that meets twice a month in different locations.  The next meeting is next Wednesday 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  So I'm excited about that I hope they have a good turn out.  I've also found a therapist that had Bariatric Surgery herself.  I left her a message yesterday to set up an appointment.  I think I'll call back today.

I'll keep you guys posted.  I've got to start somewhere, I figured these places were where I needed to start.
