Well............what can I say???? as of yesterday I am down 60 pounds and feeling GREATTTTTTTTTTTTT. I still have a long ways to go, but I am taking it one day at a time.
I have been averaging over 8 pounds per month and my Doc said I am right on target.  This has been without alot of exercise. I was in a very bad car accident 7 years ago and my legs and back cause me problems.

I would do this again in a minute. Its the best thing I have done for myself. I have always been the type of person who does for everyone else.  NOT THIS TIME

I am nervous and anxious and not sure when
When will I be at goal, when will I be thin?
I tried and tried all my life to please the scales
Yes tried to please them, ate nothing at all but to no avail
My family thinks I’m crazy, some might think I’m lazy

No one understands the pain and anguish of being this way
No one understands the strain it takes to breathe every day
I am thankful for my family and friends you see,
But this choice I’ve chosen is mine and for me.

Well I am 17 days post op and feeling good. Just starting to get back my hunger but really trying to watch what I eat. I am mushies still. The surgery went well. I had to stay all night because when my Doc was moving around my organs my spleen starting bleeding so they kept me over night to watch my blood count.  The surgery was really a breeze!! The first few days it hurt when you first stood up. I didn't have any of the gas pains I have heard about.  The only problem I had is my incisions started itching and by the time I had my staples out April 3rd they was red and driving me NUTS. I felt like I was in a fog for a few days but was really back to normal in about 10 days.  I may be one of the lucky ones who has restricting right away because I get full fast. I know my stomach probably shrunk from the pre op diet but it's nice being satisfied by a small amount of food. I lost 22 pounds on my pre op diet.

I have had a horrible time with my insurance company and many times I just wanted to give up. My inner voice kept telling me to be patient and my time would come.  I hope anyone who is reading this and has had trouble like I have,  will take what I have said to heart and keep FIGHTING. The insurance companies want you to get frustated and give up. KEEP FIGHTING and your day will come as well.  

OH, I lost 8 pounds since the last time I say my DR.. All I have been doing is not snacking and watching my portions.  WELLLL  I also gave up Diet coke..That was TOUGHHHHHHHH

I called to schedule an appointment with Dr to set a surgery date and GUESS WHAT????  United Health Care cancelled my approval because I hadn't set a date. I was just approved Dec 12th and they cancelled it 2 weeks after my approval. I was never told by UHC or the Dr office there was a deadline to setting up the date. I had told the Dr office I had to accumulate some vacation hours at work and they said that was fine. Now I have to start the whole process of getting approved ALL OVER AGAIN.  I can not express how upset I am right now. This whole experience has been nothing but a nightmare. If I didn't want this surgery SO BAD, I would just give up and say to heck with it.

I finally got word today I am approved. This comes at a good time because I have been really depressed waiting around and was thinking about giving up for now. I hadn't followed up with the Dr or UHC in the past few weeks and decided when I hear something I hear something. It was so cute, my husband had put the letter on my night stand and was all excited for me to read it when I got home from work today. I didn't want to burst his bubble but the Dr office had called me at work today and already told me. I had tried calling him at work today but he was in meetings. Anyway he was really happy for me. I need to accumulate some vacation time at work ,since I have had to use most of it ,when I had the flu recently. I probably wont be able to schedule the surgery until February but that is ok. At least I know I am approved 

Every time I call my Doc office they tell me something different. I was told my file was mailed to United Health Care 9/19/07..Well I verified with United Health Care they didn't receive anything. I called the office back and was told, "We didnt tell you that", we faxed the information 9/24 and again 9/26. I called United Health Care again, they still havent received my information. I called the office back and told her I wanted her to call and verify the person she was suppose to have faxed it to, that she did receive the information. I requested she call me back and let me know ASAP....No call back!!!   $@%$*&....I am at a loss on what to do.  

I called my Dr office and they submitted everything to my insurance on 10/19 
   Now the waiting game to see if I am approved  

  I CALLED MY INSURANCE TODAY. THEY STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANYTHING FROM MY DR'S OFFICE.  HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR DICTATION TO BE DONE AND RETURNED TO THE DR'S OFFICE????
