It's been a long time since I posted on here. Since then I changed jobs, enrolled in school, got separated from my wife Jennifer. Still trying to lose as I have regained some. Trying to stay focused on keeping my sanity in check and not losing focus on how I got here. Have to keep faith. That's about all I have right now to keep me going.

It's been 9 months since surgery, I am down 201lbs! yay!! It feels so great to have all that weight off of me! Only 75 more pounds to my goal!! 

Well, it's been six months since I had surgery. Down another 20lbs since my last visit with my surgeon. I just went yesterday. Have to get me labs drawn this Friday. I have a feeling their going to be low because I have been taking my vitamins just not as regular as I should! It was hard getting them down or taking them with anything. But I now found a way to get them down that works for me, applesauce and splenda! The vitamins kill the taste and look of the applesauce but then adding splenda to it gives it a sweeter taste that I can do! So total I have lost is about 183lbs! Feeling great!! Got some new/used clothes from a guy at my support group! Tried on the shorts and wow!! They fit! 46 shorts!! Haven't been in those since like,,ummmm maybe 1996ish? I don't know because its been THAT long!! Fitting into 2XL shirts now!! About the same time frame as well!! 6 More months to go!! 

I went to the Dr. today and was down another 20lbs!!! WOOHOOO.... Since January I am down 110lbs!!! Kick Ass!! 

I am now one week post op and this sip sip sip and walk walk walk thing is driving me nuts....I know I know keep doing it and it'll get better! Other than that I am ok. Not liking this constant diarrhea I am having! I see the Surgeon tomorrow for my post op check up!! 

Went to the Surgeons today, I lost 17lbs since the last time I was there. I am 8lbs above what he wants me at the time of surgery. On the liquid diet now till the 27th. Have to meet with the Anesthesiologist on the 17th. Labs drawn on Monday the 20th. See the Cardiologist on the 23rd for the IVC filter. Then surgery on the 28th! Woohoooo I'm so happy! 

Yesterday I went to the Surgeons office and he gave me a surgery date for September 28th. But, I told the RN that when I took my thyroid meds they made me dizzy the day before. She called the medical Dr. and he said to stop taking them. I had my levels drawn before I left to see what they are and I have to go there next week to what they are again. When I see the Dr. on the 30th of this month they will tell me how my levels are. If they are fine the surgery date will continue on. If not then the surgery date will be pushed back until they are OK. And the surgery will go on considering if I am at the surgery goal weight he wants me at. I know I will get to that well before the two weeks before the surgery.

I went to the Dr. yesterday and lost another 6lbs from last week. I have to go to an informational meeting this Wednesday and then see the Surgeon on Friday so he can see where I am at and hopefully give me a surgery date along with the two week liquid diet (isopure). The Dr. also put me on a Thyroid medication because my levels were too low. So we will see how much more I can drop before Friday. I know once I am doing just Isopure I will drop to the surgery goal weight. Keeping fingers crossed!! 

GOT APPROVED TODAY!!!!! IT TOOK ONLY 8 DAYS!!!Surgeons office called to let me know. Still have 30lbs to drop before they will schedule me. I never thought I would be this emotional. I am really greatful for my wife Jennifer and my family and especially my friends who have supported me through this!! I can not thank them enough for all they have done!!   

Yesterday my surgeon got the approval from my PCP and submitted paperwork to my insurance company for approval. So now I play the waiting game. I also lost another 17lbs, which means I am only 30lbs closer to my surgery weight. I am hoping I can lose just a couple more pounds, I see him on the 19th. He said I would only have to be on a liquid diet for just 2 weeks and not 1 month like he originally said.
