I had my EDG done and it was nothing to worry about it was great! I dont remember a thing but my cold I still had after it lol. I have next week 3 appointments in one day and then I am done and ready to submit! Ill be so excited to have this surgery over with and losing!!!

Went to Augusta Wednesday and had my two appointments with the Dietation, and Dr. Bowland. Now I just have the Physcologist, workshop and the EGD to go. I have that September 27th but so ready to just do it now!!! I had such a good time with my best friend that took me. Not sure if others know but I am unable to drive do to my MS is why I have to wait for someone to take me. I hope so much that with the weight loss after surgery that I can drive again. Its so frustrating cause im still a fairly young woman. I hope everyone had a great week and look forward to speaking to anyone that would like to talk :)...

I have started the process!!

I have started the process of going for Gastric bypass surgery. Met with Dr Glass out of Augusta Georgia on July 9Th 2012 and August 1, I go for two appointments one for Dietitian class and the other a weight loss seminar. I will only have two more classes to go and a EGD. I have them scheduled for September. I Hope so much I can have this done in October so I can be well for the holidays.
To give a little big of back ground Ill tell you a little about me. I am 36, happily Divorced and no children. In 2010 I was diagnosed with MS or Multiple Sclerosis. It hit me like a ton of bricks! I was unbalanced and felt dizzy starting in January of that same year and by May I was in the hospital with severe vomiting and vertigo. The steroids they gave caused me to gain 100 lbs with in 2 years. I was 350 then and starting to lose the weight on my own but after the MS and steroids i bloomed up to 451. The last time i weighted at Dr. Glass office was the 451lbs. I am unable to move well and unbalance due to the weight with the disease. I know this is my last option or that's how I feel. If there are any of you that have MS and have had Gastric bypass or just had,having or thinking of having gastric bypass please message me of your journey. I am willing to help anyone that would like to know more. Also, have any of you had a lot of saggy skin in the hips? I am wide through the hip area. I'm shaped like a pear. Just curious cause I'm trying to figured out what areas will give the most issues. I'll post more after August 1.
I started in 2005 to try and have the gastric bypass but when i was married the insurance fromhis work in corrections from the state of Georgiaand it didnt cover anything to do with weight loss and denied me but as of now I am covered through medicaid of Georgia and while talking with my dr's insurance person they have assured me im covered. I am praying this will all happen this time and everything will work out please keep me in your prayers!
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
