I'm new to this community and very excited to be here.... For years I have been doing lots of research on the different weight loss surgeries out there.... But like many people my insurance would not cover it or my credit was not good enough to get a $20,000 loan for the surgery. Finally my grandfather accepted to give me $10,000 to start the process, but once again where am I going to come up with an additional $10,000? I looked into having the surgery in Monterrey, Mexico. So I would be covered with the $10,000, the only problem is I don't know anyone over there and even though I'm only 154 miles away it seemed kind of scary. If Mexico has some of the best doctors, why have I heard so many horror stories? Well, I took the advise of a co-worker and decided to do some research on doctors in Reynosa, Mexico that do gastric bypass. I think I have found my doctor. Dr. Felips Cantu and Dr. Munsur.... They are located 10 minutes away from me which is great.... But the even better news is that I can afford to have the surgery done. After speaking to Lupita the the Patinent Coordinator and another individual who had the surgery with them I now heard about SLEEVE. I had never heard of it before, but it seems like it might be the best surgery from me. For many reasons... But I'm still not sure if it will produce the best results for me.... I know I will never be a size 5 but I want to be healthy for my family and myself. The Sleeve should cost 9,900 in Reynosa.... My pre-op appoint is July 10th and my surgery is scheduled for July 21st at 4:00 p.m. I'm so excited but so scared at the same time. Not only scared of the surgery but scared of how my life will turn out....I'll keep you posted.... till next time!
