Hi, This is my first post since my surgery, 4/17/03. My surgery was UNEVENTFUL. No problems at all, THANK GOD. That part was very scary. There were so many times when the different medical professional asked me if I wanted to change my mind. Everyone was very nice and professional. The nursing staff at Ocala Regional were great and did there best to make me comfortable. Dr Overcash did my procedure very fast, so my husband tells me. He said they (my family) weren't even in the waiting room very long before he came out and told them that everything went well. The first couple of days were rough, due to the fact of having the tube in your nose. But I wasn't in much pain, just discomfort. I don't know how much I've lost yet, don't want to get on the scale until Thursday, when I go for my 2wk check up and get my staples out. I have been walking a little more each day and trying to have a positive outlook. I must admit that I was a bit drained after the surgery and kind of down in the dumps emotionally, but I feel so much better now. I wish I could go to the bathroom more, but I will kept drinking more water and maybe I will become regular again. My incision is coming along okay. Once again, THANK YOU to all who have posted their words of encouragement. They really meant a lot to me and helped a great deal. I thought about everyone while I was in the hospital and prayed that you all were doing okay too. I'm getting my strength back everyday and I'm trying to move more. I will post more later after my check up on Thursday. God Bless, Jennifer

Hi Everyone, I will have my surgery tomorrow and I wanted to post to thank everyone for their support and blessings. I feel that God has pointed me in the direction to have surgery and that he will look after me and keep me safe. I'm a little emotional. One moment I'll have teary eyes and the next I'm thinking about the future and how my life will change for the better. I just want to get the surgery over so I can get off this emotional roller coaster. I feel that I'm in good hands with Dr. Overcash and the Lord. I'm not nervous for myself, mostly for my 6 yr old daughter and husband. I have their support, so that brings me a great deal of comfort. In just a few hours we will be going to Ocala from Orlando. We will stay at the Holiday Inn across the street from Ocala Regional. Once I get at the hospital and start the pre-op I will feel a lot better. But the build up to the actual surgery is hard. I just wanted to thank everyone who sent their love. I haven't been able to respond to everyone so I wanted to use this opportunity to say thanks and that I appreciated your blessings very much. I hope I can post NLT Monday. I'm hoping my surgery will be uneventful and that I can come home by Sunday. Keep praying for me and soon I shall be on the losing side. Thank You Jennifer Miller
