My name is Michelle and I have been overweight for the majority of my life. I actually cannot remember a time when I would have considered myself "thin." Weight loss surgery has always scared me and so I never really considered it an option for me but then again I always thought "Oh I'll have it all under control by the time I am 30!" Well I turn 30 this year and my weight has climbed to an all time high and after trying diet after diet and feeling miserable on all of those diets I felt it was time to take action. The other reason that I am choosing to do this is so that I can be around for my kids. My husband was killed in Iraq 1 1/2 years ago and now it's just me and the kids and I want - no I need to be - here for them. So this year will be all about me and getting healthy for me and for my 3 kids - so watch out TRICARE here I come! No is not an option I will accept.
