Julie here.. I'm a loser! I'm a loser! I crossed over to the lighter side on Monday June 3 by having my straight BPD with Dr. Emma Patterson, and came home yesterday June 6- took an extra day in the hopsital as my new tummy was taking it's time processing fluid. I can't sit long in front of the computer but just had to post a note that I'm home.. I'm HOME! Thanks an blessings to everyone who has been so supportive! God is Good! ~Peace

I talked to Julie today and she is doing wonderful! She got her morphine pump removed and is on percocet. She was getting ready to take a shower and take a walk. She tried some sugarfree strawberry jello, but it was too sweet so she is trying some skim milk. She is hoping to come home tomorrow. She looks fantastic! I wish her all the best! Blessings, Becca

Julie is doing great today! Lots of colour in her cheeks and is up and about as much as she can tolerate. Today she had her leak test and had to have a second xray because of slow drainage, but she is draining now at about 15 minutes. So she is drinking an ounce of fluid every 15 minutes. She did 4 ounces of Ensure over an hour. She said it tasted "grody" but she needs the protien. She tried apple juice diluted with water but it upset her new tummy so the doctors gave her some Zoftran to help settle it down. She had some success with using the little girls room so that the doctors did not have to put the catheter back in. She may be coming home tomorrow, but honestly if I had my druthers I would have her stay and see how she does on pureed food. But the doctor and Julie know best. She asked me to hang out at home incase she were to get discharged. I told her if she needs me tonight to call me and my husband will bring me to her. Her pain level is at a 4. She is still on her morphine, but is alert and watching Jeopardy! Send her all your positive thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. Welcome to the lighter side of life, Jules! Until next time, Becca Kauffman

Just talked with Julie's mom. She is looking GREAT! Julie wanted to talk to me and let you know that she really loves her morphine pump. I am glad that her pain is being maintained. Mom says that she is shifting around in bed a bit and is still not fully coherent, but I have a feeling that won't last too long. I am glad that she is as she says a "LOSER!" More details as I receive them! Hugs, Becca Kauffman

Hi there everyone! Julie is now on her way to the recovery room at Good Sams. Her surgery for the most part was uneventful. She did have some adhesion from where her gall bladder was removed previously, but other than that it all went well. Her mother is with her now since we do not know when she will be transferred to her room. I think that should be in the next few hours. Her crone angel, Elle, will be returning to see her this evening if she is needed. We think that she might be pretty out of it for the rest of the evening, but I will be back there to see her tomorrow morning after she has her leak test. Praise the Lord that she has made it to the lighter side! I will be back with an update this evening at 8 p.m. pst! Keep up the prayers and positive support! Thank you all for being there for her and know that she loves each and everyone of you! God Bless, Becca Kauffman
