Thursday I had my final pre op appointment with the surgeon. I went at 10 am and had my nasogastric tube removed.. the 24 hour test was unpleasant, but not painful and not unbearable by any stretch. At noon I saw Dr. Patterson (She ROCKS!). We reviewed the surgery again, and discussed the risks.. nothing I haven't already heard. I was worried that I had gained weight but I was DOWN five pounds, back to my February weight of 379.2 I was truly thankful! I had the counsel about the bowel prep and what to expect after surgery. Got my prescriptions for my pre op meds and got lots of happy hugs and support from the office staff. I managed to get out of work just after five, feeling secure that my work is all wrapped up, and that my coworkers will be able to handle my work while I'm gone. A number of my coworkers took me into a prayer circle.. it was very powerful! I can't deny that God has been with me in all of this. I'll be running about today (took the day off) handling last minute errands and spending time with my Mom. tonight and Saturday I'll be hanging out with the DS folks in town for the weekend, and on Sunday it's HELLLLLOOOO bowel prep.. heehee. I'm told many folks don't sleep much the night before surgery, we'll see what happens.. but if you see a message from me in the wee hours you'll know why. Holy guaccamole, can you believe it.. FIFTY THREE of us strolling to the losing side on June 3! God be with you my brothers and sisters! Whooo! I guess that's about it for now, thanks as always for your thoughts and prayers.. you all are a large part of this journey, having been there for me since day one! Thank you and God bless you all!

Hello Everyone! Thanks for the great comments and many blessings! I am counting on each and every one! Just 4 days and 2 sleeps unitl my own ride 'round the triple loop of the WLS roller coaster! I leave in about 20 minutes for my 24 hour pH monitoring tube to be put in. I get to look like the Borg Queen for 24 hours. I'm so lucky to be blessed with such support.. thank you and God Bless you all!

Looks like we are doing this on the same day June 3 May God be watching over our surgeons hand that everything goes great and we have a speedy recovery. And but this time next year we are wearing the best and smallest cloths around =-) Hugs and may God bless you Annie

Dear Julie...We share a surgery date. You in your state and me in Montana. I agree that the waiting is the worst. But my waiting was so much less than yours that I am ashamed to complain about it. I am 63 and 370+ pounds. May God Bless you with a successful surgery, a quick and painless recovery and a wonderful new life. You really deserve it. With love and best wishes, Marilyn
