Absolutely the toughest stage is 4 - 5 days after the surgery. It gets better and better after that but the first few days I know are miserable. Just grit your teeth and say to yourself, "This will all be over soon and it will all be worth it." Not to toot my own horn, but I am a year out and have lost 140 pounds. All my health issues are gone, and I am so happy. You will be too before much longer. Paul

Jessica, By now you are out of surgery and probably wondering "What did I DO to myself!!" Welcome to the losing side of life. There are many here to support you, including myself. Congratulations on the begining of a new life of health and happiness.
