Julie- my period was three weeks late in the month following surgery. I'm usually like clockwork--my surgeon tells me it happens occasionally, and not to worry.

Julie I had a jackson pratt drain (a bulb attached) and while I only had it in for 7 days it sometimes filled up 2x a day (had to be dumped...I emptied it just before I saw the surgeon and a lot of drainage is normal. or was for me.. if it isnt giving you any trouble hang in there for a day or two longer.. if you would feel better then by all means contact your surgeon..that is what he is there for.. But is normal and if it isnt bothering you might hang in there a little longer..

Hi Julie, Call your doctor about your pan right away. Try to help your friend get help right away - or when you recover. My surgeon's information states 2 of his patient's died post-op from drinking alcohol. After the surgery the alcohol is absorbed very quickly so where it took 5 drinks to get drunk before surgery, it takes only 1 drink post GB. I'll pray for you both. Cathy

Hello everyone,well i am home and first off i would like to thank all of you so much for your support and comments posted they were nice to read,and thankyou to my Angel Amy.I am doing pretty good i am very sore at the gtube site,i cant stand up straight i cant wait until this gets better.other than that i cant really complain too much,they were able to do it lap,and i am definatley happy about that! My check up is on september 23rd so i will post again then,i am going to rest now.
