Almost 2 months out

Dec 19, 2009

I'll be 2 moths out on Tuesday and I'm feeling great.  People are starting to notice my weight loss and that feels great.  I'm down exactly 30 lbs since surgery and 50lbs since I started the surgical weight loss program.  I have not been this small since high school.

I have been working out 3-4 times a week.  On the days I don't work out, I really miss it.  I do 30 minutes of cardio and then 15-20 minutes of weight training/toning.  I work out the exercise room at my school.  Rarely do we have anyone in the room other than a few students and most days it is just me working out.  I am so lucky to have such a beautiful, well-equipped room to use.

One of my biggest challenges is trying to keep my bedroom clean.  Since none of my clothes fit anymore, I often toss close on my bedroom floor when they don't fit anymore in the morning.  I then neglect the step that I need to go back and bag the clothes up.  LOL!  I also have had several friends that have gone through weight loss give me some of their transitional styles.

I feel like I'm losing slowly (which I am compared to many people) but I'm happy that I am consistently losing and feeling better and eating better every day.

Day 1 liquid diet -- check

Oct 08, 2009

Yesterday was my first day of the dreaded liquid diet.  I think this really has been the one obstacle that I have been dreading the most, but I did it.  I have had breakfast today (custard) and I am at work.  I am feeling very, very fatigued.  I didn't sleep well last night as I was hungry, couldn't get to sleep and then woke up 3 times to go to the bathroom.

I have heard that the first few days are the toughest and I'm sort of banking on that.  Thank goodness that it's a long weekend.
