Well it has been a long time since I have posted anything. Things have been just crazy for me the past few months. Well I found out in mid September that I was pregnant, not exactly what I wanted to hear considering I had just had my TT in May. I am 28 weeks today and very excited now about having this little bundle of joy.

I wemt for my third follow up on July 3. Things went greatand the doc eas very pleased with the way I have heeled. The scare is still very tender and a big portion of my stomach is still numb. I have some kind of rash in my belly button. Dr. Oliak seems to think it is a yeast infection but I am not so sure cause I now have a similar rash on my foot. Well he doc says I need to wait at least 6 weeks to 3 months before I can get my belly button peirced (I don't know if I can wait that long. The good news is that I don't have another appointment until July 3,2008.

Well I went shopping today for a swim suit for my up coming trip out of town. I thought this would be an easy task since now I am finally able to wear a 2-peice suit. I must have tried on nearly 15 swim suits and could find not one. Why is it now that I have more options I find anything that looks good and fits right.

So I had my second post-op visit on June 5. I could hardly wait for this day,  I was so tired of the drain. It was always getting in the way and I couldn't wear jeans because of where the drain was. The stitches holding the drain in place had ripped out of my skin and in the last couple of days the drain had become extremly painful. The stitches were also removed from my new belly button. I'm not sure I really like the way it looks. I am finally walking almost completely up right now, which is nice because I am tired of my back always hurting cause I can't stand up straight.  Well I  don't got back for my next follow up until July 3 and I really hope to be back to work by then.

Well I'm still questioning myself if I made the right move in having a tummy tuck. I keep thinking is the pain and long recovery worth it. I'm having second thoughts about the surgery. I don't know if it is because I wasn't aware of how painful it would be or the amount of time it would take to get back onto my feet or what. I think I am having a bit of buyers remorse. Maybe I should have waited or not of had the surgery at all. Everyone is trying to convince me that things will get better (I hope). I had buyers remorse for the first 9 months after my WLS,  I hope it doesn't last that long this time. 

Well this visit had its ups and downs. The up side was that I lost 10 1/2lbs. in the last 3 weeks. Two of those pounds I lost in skin from the surgery. I was hoping to get both of the drains out, they are in a very unconfrotable place. They would only take out one drain and told me that maybe in a week I could have the other taken out. It was really crazy seeing my new tummy for the first time, I saw it once in the hospital but with all the drugs I don't remember what it looked like. Well I go for my 2nd visit on June 5 and I will at least be getting my stitches out of my new belly button.

So the big day was set for May 21, I was very excited that the day was finally here. My mother and I got up at 3:30 am to drive to California to be at the hospital by 9:30. The closer we got my excitedness changed into butterflies. At about 10:30 they were just about to wheel me from pre-op to surgery when the nurse came back and told another nurse that my surgery had been canceled. I went absolutely crazy and started demanding answers. 30 minutes later my two doctors along with a few of the nurses came in and told me that I had been given a shot by one of the nurses that could cause me to bleed to death if they went through with the surgery. I was almost in tears, I had waited so long for this day and now it was once again not going to happen. The doctor said the medicine they gave me would take 8 hours to leave my system so I could have the surgery tomorrow or reschedule. I told my doctor that I guess I would see him tomorrow cause I was not going back home until I had my tummy tuck. 

Yeah! I went to the doctor today and after 8 long months I now have a surgery date for my tummy tuck. Less then 2 weeks, May 21, I can't wait.
