Hi Kat! Thank you so so much for your response to my post in the PS forum. I looked at your profile and saw your before/after photos and WOW! You look so fantastic and have come so so far! Yes on everything you wrote... I also knew I'd have excess skin, but never did I imagine it would be so bad. I won't lie to you - the recovery period for each of my surgeries was extensive. My 2nd round of PS was my extended brachioplasty (from elbows to armpits and down along sides meeting up with the incisions from my breast lift) and breast implants (needed not for size but rather to have a normal shape as I was completely flat in front with all my breast tissue at the sides). The first 4 days postop from round 2, I couldn't so much as scratch my face if I had an itch (eventually I figured out that I could use a plastic fork to reach my face and rid of an hair on my face, etc.). It was about 3 weeks before I was able to brush my hair, shampoo in the shower, reach for anything in front of me, etc.) If your job requires any lifting, reaching, carrying, etc. you are going to need a lot more than just a couple of days off. Also, you will be on pain meds following your surgery and while you are on them, chances are you won't be able to drive (and get to and from work). Please don't hesitate to email me any time. I'd love to chat with you - we are like twins with our starting and ending weights. Lots of hugs, Caroline, Lap RNY 5/2/03, -225 @ goal
