MAYBE WRITE DOWN ONE THING EACH DAY THAT YOU ARE GRATEFUL FOR SINCE HAVING SURGERY. KNOW THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE THAT FEEL THE SAME WAY ...... JUST TELL YOURSELF YOU ARE WORTH THIS AND WHEN YOU ARE IN THOSE SMALL JEANS AND SHIRTS AND FEELING GOOD YOU WILL KNOW WHAT IT WAS ALL FOR.... I WILL PRAYER FOR STRENGTH FOR YOU.. GOD BLESS YOU. Hi, Kat: I just wanted to let you know I know EXACTLY how you feel! A few days after I came home from the hospital my husband proceded to sit down next to me and eat Arby's! I wanted to cry at that moment. I thought Oh my God, what have I done? Did I really have to do this??? And the truth was, yes, I did have to do this because otherwise I'd be pigging out right alongside him. Let me just try to offer reassurance that it DOES get better. The first 6 weeks are the hardest. Now that I'm 7 weeks out, I can have a taste of more things than before, and I feel much better mentally. I don't feel so deprived. I promise, Honey, it WILL get better!

***UPDATE*** I just spoke to Kat on the phone, she's still in the hospital and will probably be released tomorrow if all goes well. She's feeling a little weak and somewhat nauseated. She was in good spirits and glad to get into a private room. She said that she had been up walking yesterday 9 times and today 4 times. Keep her in your thoughts & prayers.

*~*~UPDATE~*~* I just spoke to Kat's husband Joe and he told me that Kat is still in the hospital. They're still monitoring her to be sure that her blood levels stay up. They'll be doing blood work again at 2:00 p.m. today and if everything remains okay, they may release her this evening. Otherwise, she'll probably go home tomorrow.

***UPDATE*** Hi everyone, I just spoke to Kat on the phone a couple minutes ago. She made it through surgery and is out of ICU now and into a room. She seemed to be doing pretty good. She has been able to drink around 6oz today total and kept it down. She did have a scare a little earlier, she went to the bathroom and there was blood in her bm. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
