2 months out now..
Jan 19, 2007
Had my lap band on 11/17 had my first fill January 5, I am down 25 lbs now. I wish I had measured my body,as I have lost a lot of inches and my clothes are getting nice and comfy.. and I have gone down one size in my scrubs that I wear at work (they provide them).
The fill was easy enoough he uses a freezing spray and I didn't feel much at all... my port site is still a bit sore from surgery, but I attribute that to my habit of leaning against the gurneys when I take care of my patients.
I definitely have some restriction and for the first 10 days I did have a few episodes of revisiting my food, very unpleasant. But that has settled down... and I am feeling good..... I am now able to eat protien and getting some veggies in and even a few carbs along the way. I am enjoying almost everything in small amounts... (not untoasted breads or pasta, or bagels).... I kind of think my bagel days are over... ? I didn't eat them that much anyway, not a huge deal.
I find my energy level is up, and I am trying to get on my stationery bike everyday, although I will admit I don't do it daily...
I feel like I am on a new start..... I sleep better. I do not take pepcid anylonger, and I don't take anything for joint pain anymore.. and my blood pressure is GREAT! I hope to get off some of the meds in the future.
I am looking forward to more lbs lost and a healthier me... my hubby is excited and he's trying to lose wt also, as he says he doesn't want to be the fat one at the beach in a year or so.. .haha.
