Today had my 2nd check up since the surgery with Dr. Teel.  It went fine. I got to see Sarah, a girl I met during the pre-op testing, then we had our surgeries on the same day. It was nice to see her.  Any way, At this appt. I have loss a total of 47lbs. I am still throwing up a lot. I am chicken to try new things. BUT I need to get pass it. I promised him I will.

Well at 8 weeks out as of yesterday. I was invited to go to dinner for my best friend's birthday. She wanted to go to the Greene, and eat at the Cheesecake Factory.....All I could think about was what the hell am I going to eat? It hasn't been THAT great, trying to eat a variety of foods. I barely eat anything. BUT tonight I decided to try the filet mignon. I ate steak!! NOT VERY MUCH.. but it all stayed down. I also a bite of mash potatoes & corn. And a virgin Pina Colda.. Yum.... Yeah I miss alcohol in my drinks. but i am trying to be good. So far so good. It was a very nice evening.

I know it's been a while. It will be 7 weeks this Tuesday.   And things are just going.  I am not eating a lot. I am still having a hard time getting all my vitamins in, and Protein. When I call the surgeon with concerns (some vomiting, protein....makes me worry) They say it all normal. "everyone is different"

I have lost 42lbs!! That's great. But you can only tell in my face. Yes, my clothes are getting big on me, and I can wear some things I couldn't before.
But I still have a large stomach. Can't wait for that to be gone.

I was able to eat corn on the cob, just a couple of bites. It stay down.. I was pretty excited about that. Oha nd Tuna salad is also doing very well. But I can only eat for little at a time. BUT IT STAYS DOWN!!

OH the most exciting thing happened. I FINALLY WIEGH LESS THAN MY HUSBAND!!    First time in a long time. He is tyring to lose wieght as well, but the ol' natural way. 

Well it has been a week and a day since my surgery. And for the most part I feel pretty good. Somewhat bloated still.. Otherwise I have been off pain meds since last Saturday.  Still taking my time about the vitamins.. I know how important, so I will manage them all soon. Just not yet. I have been walking every day. Still trying different foods slowly. I  seem to tolerate different things okay. and I up to 2 bottles of water daily. yahoo!! not including hot tea, protien drinks etc.   As of Sunday I lost 14lbs.. crazy I tell you..

I had the Endoscopy last Friday. It wasn't bad. Although I do remember ever so faintly gagging at the begining of it. Otherwise I was out. I had to take a little bit of Anxiety Medicine but it was so worth it. It worked really well. He took a biopsy of my stomach to test for H-pylor.  All came back negative, I am cleared for surgery. wa-hoo!

Well on Monday had the Pre-op testing done. I was a basket case beyond belief. I feel silly knowing the testing was just simple EKG, Xrays, & blood work, that was all done in the first hour, Then I stayed for another 4 hours, had some schooling with the Dietician, hosiptal staff and the Dr who will be in Recovery after the surgery. Everyone was very nice and informative. I also met a girl, Sarah, who is to have surgery on the same day, same surgeon, same surgery. Except I go first, then her.   Later that day, I got a call from the surgeon's office asking if I would be interested in changing dates from the 15th to the 8th. It freaked me out, I had to give them my answer today, which was yes I will change my date. So instead of a two week diet, it will be a 1 1/2 week diet. I am still scared. I want to be excited, just can't. doesn't it ever change?

Okay So I got a call from the surgeon's office today saying that when I go for the pre-op testing I won't be having the upper GI, Dr. Teel wants to do a ENDOSCOPY instead, She said that what he is doing these days instead of the Upper GI. Apparently they will take a Biopsy to see if I have the Bacteria called H-Pylori which can casue Uclers.   Well I am trying not to freak out. She did say I would be put out for it.  But still.. yikes....

Any Thoughts?

It has taken me forever to upload a photo.. Everytime I would try it, it  would not take it, Depsite the fact tha it was the correct dimension. Very frustrating.  What seem to work was changing it from Jpg to GIF. That finally made it work.

Ok, I finally called to set a date.. It is going to be April 15th. And I am still scared. Does that ever end? I don't like idea of a "pic line", or if I have to have an NG tube in my nose, or waking up with the intibation tube in my throat. Other than the "pic line", which I know for sure is going to happen, I'm not sure if the others will.  I just like to worry about everything.  All of it is adding to my anxiety.
Any advice??
