My story is I was from a family of 11(now 9) and fat all my life, At the age of 15 I was 200 lbs and the race was on I had tried many diets and kept on gaining. Over the last ten years I have struggled with the thoughts of wanting to have the gasric bypass and was very much afraid. So I started researching and praying and I knew that some people could have problems with this surgery and the more I searched the better I felt about this procedure. My brother and I went to a conferece with Dr Jones- well he went first and he was my inspiration, he flew through this like it was nothing. Him and my older sister kept on encourageing me ya all know those first steps can be the hardest, the next meeting I took my husband and we ask lots of questions so I went home that evening and prayed so hard about this and still not sure so I let them send it to the insurance and was approved right away and finally I had my answer and there was a good and calm peaceful feeling about this. My brother had his 12/22/06 and has lost 200 lbs, I have lost 110 lbs and my younger sister is having her rny 9/07.
