Breaking Up Is Hard To Do...

Sep 13, 2010

Why is it so hard to dump my relationship with Diet Coke?  We have been on and off for many months now, but lately we have been getting along really well.  It was kind of unexpected, but it was a welcome change.  Just a couple of months ago, I said goodbye to the caffeine drama and had an affair with water.  Any kind of water that came along...ice water, flavored water, carbonated water.  It didn't matter as long as it was water.  Then something happened.  I started missing my one and only true love.

Ever since then, we've been going strong, picking up where we left off.  It was like we had never been apart.  Well, love of my life, it is time for a clean break.  A break that will hurt and be painful, but it has to be done.  Starting tomorrow, I will no longer be involved with Diet Coke.  We are not good for each other, in fact, we are somewhat volatile together.  I'm sorry it has come to this, but it is something I must do...I will always love you!

The Waiting Game

Aug 20, 2010

I found out that all of my information has been sent into my insurance company and now I'm just waiting on an approval with any luck.  The insurance guru nurse said she sent the information in on August 16th and they received a fax back from the insurance company stating they had received all 44 pages.  44pages?!?  Good lord!  They probably have a paper file box filled full with all my info LOL  The nurse also said that she would drop dead on her office floor if I didn't get approved.  Talk about pressure

I'm hoping to hear back from the insurance company by the end of the month with good news.  But until then, keep your fingers crossed!

Good news! I don't think I'm crazy!!!!

Jul 19, 2010

Well, I had to be at the hospital today at 8am for my physc evaluation.  I met with the Dr. first (which he was as least a 1/2 hour late) and then took 2 different tests, one with 165 questions, the other one 556 (MMPI2) and was out of there by 10:30.  I have a follow up next Tuesday to find out the results and with any luck I'll be on my way because he will "pass" me.  One thing that kinda of ticked me was I had to pay for 5 hours upfront (4 for today and 1 for next week) but then I also paid for him to be late.  I'm hoping I get a small refund back because so far I've only used 2 1/2 hours.  So tops I'll only be using 3 1/2 hoursJust something to think about

Tomorrow I'm off for my 1st appointment at the clinic.  I have to be there at 12:30 to register and then at 1pm I'm off to the NUT and exercise specialist for a 2 hour meeting.  I'm hoping I get some more dates for the future like starting their 6 week program right away so I can keep things going.  Take care everyone!

I got my surgeon today!!!!

Jul 06, 2010

Wahoo!!!!  I had my phone "interview" today which was really going over the program a little more, going thru my packet of health information I took into the office, getting my surgeon and setting up my 1st RN class, which is already July 20.  I also set up my physc evaluation and that is on July 19 and covered by my insurance, thank goodness!  And I have my medical records being faxed down hopefully tomorrow, keep your fingers crossed.

At my 1st class, they will take my picture, height and weight for the insurance company, I will talk to the insurance nurse guru and then I have a 2 hour nutrition and exercise class.

I can't believe how fast this is going, but I know like everyone else, there will be hoops and roadblocks, but I'm prepared for them!

Starting My Journey!!!

Jun 30, 2010

I took the first step of my journey on Monday, June 28, 2010.  I attended the public seminar and received my packet of information.  In the packet was a 12 page questionnaire that needed to be filled out and sent back in if you were still interested.  Well, I filled that out yesterday (my fingers are still cramped!) and thought I would call and see if I could hand it in in person instead of mailing it back.

So, today at 1pm, I handed in my packet and have already received an appointment for my phone "interview" to go over my packet and insurance information!  It is Tuesday at 3pm.  I am so excited I wanted to tell everyone!  They said it would take about an hour or so to go over my packet and to ask some other questions.

Looks like my journey is off to a good start...up next?  The battle of the insurance company
