Hello all who read....

Well I had my surgery on 9/16/08.  Everything went very well.  I feel terrific.  But, I feel like I am constantly thinking of food (planning).

It amazes me that I am not hungry.

I have to remember to drink my water, and chew...chew...chew.  My new mantra!

I have been walking, and am up to 3/4 mile with no problem.  The dog gets tired, but that is a good thing.

My date changed

Aug 05, 2008

I had to change my date.  It is now 10 September.  I couldnt get the week off from work.  That is ok.  But now, I am more nervous than ever.  Eating wise, it has been tough.  I was doing so well.  This week, I am off track.
I need structure.

I have had all my pre-op stuff, and am down 22 pounds.  Would have been 24.  I am a little down in the dumps.  OK....snap out of it!

See ya next week.

Have a date!

Jul 15, 2008

Well,  I have a date.  Things have been going well, I have modified my eating, gave up caffeine  (boy do I miss it...cold caffeine was my thing).

I have a date of 8/19/08, that was shockingly quick.  I have lost just under 20 pounds since 7 June.  I am proud of that.  My DH is very supportive.  He went to my appt with me yesterday to talk with the surgeon.

So far so good.  I may have to change the date because my boss is on vacation.  I really dont want to, but need to figure this out.  Prayers on a good outcome.  I dont want to wait too long.

Anyway....more later.

Time to post

Jun 27, 2008

I have been lurking long enough.

I started this journey on 6 June.  I originally was planning on the lap band, but now I am considering Roux-n-Y.  I am concerned about complications on both sides, but more concerned with, What if the band slips....

I started my weight journey....this time at an all time high of 386.3.  I cant believe I let myself get to that point.

I need to stop stuffing my emotions, literally.  I know we have all been there.  Why is it so hard?

I have been working with a therapist on this, and know that I am now ready to lay my demons to rest with food.

I kind of like the high protein, low carb.  I also was drinking about 64 oz of Diet Pepsi per day, and now am ALMOST done with it.  I average 0-4 oz per day.  I dont even like the taste anymore.

Thanks for reading.....
