"I really enjoyed the staff. They were pretty responsive unless there was a shift change, I had my own room, just as almost everone else on the floor. It was a nice room, with wood floors, and a combo bathroom with shower. Also they had a bariatric bed -- the kind that can sit up into a chair position. Funny story -- at first they told me that they would have to move me to a different bed because I was not heavy enough for the one I was in..... lucky for me
(i prob have to pay for it anyway) but lucky for me they were never able to find me a different bed, so I got to keep the really cool one!! "
"I felt that Dr. Datzman and her staff were very informed about Sleep Apnea and sleep disorders. I have to say that the sleep studies were not all that fun, but necessary and they did everything they could to put me at ease, and they were quick and effiecnt with paperwork. "

Well I have been scheduled for the infomational class for Dr Deveney, and have a consultation appt with him on Dec 23rd....hopefully Merry Christmas to Me and he will take me as a patient and set me up with a date!

My consult with Dr. Welker went well. He wanted to have some test done before he would even write the letter of medical necessity. He seems to be focused on prevention to problems of the surgery, which I think is good. He allowed me to have my support person there and her mom, and he answered all of everyones questions. I asked him flat out what the complication rates were and he described them to me. I still really like Dr. Welker and I am still forging ahead with this process.

I was at a support group meeting a few weeks ago and I met Dr. Welker. He is based out of Eugene, OR these days. My first impression of him is that he has a sense of humor which is so important to me....but I reserve the right to change my mind....my consult is comming up soon...."
