Well my story is most likely very similiar to everyone else's.  I have been overweight most of my life, sometimes I up and sometimes I'm down, I'm famous for the yo yo dieting.  I seem to have a mental block around 3 weeks and 9 lbs and that is my failing point.  I feel like I'm hitting my head against the wall when it comes to my weight.   I want to set a good example for my kids with being active and eating healthy and right now I'm not.  I watch WAY too much TV and my portion sizes are too big.  I don't binge or snack much so I'm ahead of the game there, but I don't move very much and that is a major issue.

I have decided to do the Lap Band because I feel like I need "help" with loosing weight.  I get very discourage when I don't see results and that is usually the gateway for me falling off the diet.  I feel like if I had a tool that would show me results and keep me motivated I would be able to stay focused and motivated.   I do understand that "I" need to make the right choices and EXERCISE and the Lap Band is just a tool, but I do believe it's the tool I need.

I am also seeing a therapist to try and identify the reason behind my food addictions and feel between the therapy and the Lap Band, I'm positioning myself for success (hopefully)....   the journey continues.
