I have been overweight my entire life. I took ritalin for ADD for 10 years, which kept me at a size 14. This was in conjunction to working out twice a day as a middle schooler and high school student (cheerleading practice for 2 hrs a day, and then step aerobics at the gym for 1 hr). then I was diagnosed with a thyroid disorder and the weight never came off. Also, each time I was put on a different anti-depressant or anxiety med, my weight would rise again. I quit smoking in August and have gained 30 lbs.
My back hurts
My joints hurt
I am always tired, sleep a lot
I have lost my sex drive
I hate my size and feel like I am about 60 years old
I have made my appt for the 22nd of January. This surgery can not come soon enough.
I currently weight 260 /5'7, age 30
This is my story....
1/22/08- I met with the surgeon and loved him! I am canceling the appt with the other dr in town. I have made my appt for the psychologist, NUT, and to get all of my paperwork in so I can schedule surgery. I am soooo excited about this surgery. This is going to change my life.
