I have been obese all my life. I have dreamed of having weightloss surgery for years, but was always afraid. My sister had Lapband surgery earlier this year (2006) and did wonderful and it gave me the courage to go ahead. I knew Lapband was the answer for me because it was less invasive. On the date of my surgery I weighed 325 lbs. My highest weight ever. I have a wonderful husband and two great kids and I know I want to be around to spend our lives together. I am looking forward to being a more physical part of their lives than before. I am thankful to God and my family for the courage to move forward.
