Hello, my name is Keyonna, I am 27 years old, and I am a little less than 5” 1 and weight about 244 pounds.  I have struggled with my weight just about all my life.  Plus obesity runs in my family as well as High Blood Pressure and Diabetes.  Lately I have been suffering with severe back pains, joint pains and my feet have also been swelling.  I have Diabetes, Sleep Apnea.  Then there just the little things that I can’t hardly do any more, like washing my body in certain area that I can’t reach any more, I can barely wipe my own behind and that is just awful.  I only go into the handicap stalls in the ladies room because I can hardly fit in the regular size stalls.    When I stand to do the dishes or any house work, I have to take a rest here and there because my back starts to hurt real bad, when I walk a little distance my back starts to hurt, and lately my knee’s and the bottom of my feet have been hurting real bad.  I find myself not having any energy to do any exercising lately because I work so much.  My Doctor said that I am a good candidate for the Weight Loss surgery because if I don’t lose weight soon my health problems will become more severe.  I’ve tried to lose weight on my own several times, but I was either not able to stick to it or like when I joined Jenny Craig  and Gym memberships I wasn’t able to afford them.  I’ve tried Herbal Life which was working, but again I wasn’t able to continue paying for the supply I needed to continue to see results, then I ended up gaining all my weight back and more.

Basically all my life I have been over weight, I can’t even remember when I wasn’t over weight.  All through out Kindergarten, Middle School, and High School I have been teased because of my weight, even now as an adult.  When I’m depressed I eat a lot.                 I feel my life would change a great deal once I have the weight loss surgery.  I know a lot of my health problems and pain will mostly go away, it will make me and train me to eat right.  Plus I have heard from people that all ready have had the surgery that your energy level goes up almost right after surgery, which would be a plus for me.  Plus I know that my confidence will go up as well.  At the weight I am now I am scared of my future.  I want to be able to feel energic and live a long healthly life and I believe the weight loss surgery will help me do that and stick to it.
