I received my surgery date today.  My surgery date for the sleeve is Monday, October 17th.  It still doesn't seem real at this point.  Reality will set in on the morning of surgery.  It has been six long years of research, preparation, deciding on which surgery would be best for me, attending seminar after seminar to check out the Doctors and their staff, six months of nutritional and psch. visits and having employer insurance that did not cover weight loss surgery.  All of this I have endured just as I know others have too.  Now it is less than a month away.  I have silently read the posts on this site.  Obesity Help is an awesome site.  I can't tell you how much this site has helped me.  I asked that all of you pray for me that I come thru the surgery with flying colors and that I be successful as all of you with this new opportunity at life that we have all been given once again.  I thank God for this opportunity to become a better me so I can become a happier and healthier person for me, my family, friends and employer.  I am so grateful.  Thank you Obesity Help members for the information, friendships and advice.  You are good people.
