I'm Not sure where to begin! Im 22 yrs old, full time student, New to Kalamazoo, i just came here to be with my father. In November, 2008 i decided to change my life. I had a High stress, low pay, no medical Job. I thought it was my dream job, so i quit college and wasted almost three years there. I was in a bad relationship, and alot of bills, and alot of health problems. One day i just decide to leave everything behind. I sold everything i owned, kept only a few clothing items and made the 3 hour journey from Saginaw, MI to Kalamazoo by bus to live with my father. Since being here my quality of life has improved dramatically. I dont have any bills, i only work 5 hours a week and i attend school full time. Ive been working full time since i was 15 and i never even attended high school full time. I grew up witha single mom, so i had to work to help out. Now i realize that i was depressed and stressed. Ive never been happier.
Now that i attend school and live with dad, i am on his health insurance. I was diagnosed with PCOS in January, which was what giving me all my problems. I have it under control now, but with lots of medication. My doctor told me i need to loose wieght now if i want to get off preventative diabetic medication and one day have children. Enter WLS. It took me a while to decide, but im ready and i am giving 100% to this proccess. I am fully committed and more ready than ever. Look out world here comes the skinnier me.
I chose Dr. Verseman in Kalamazoo, mostly becasue he is close to me, but i have also read wonderful things about him. I believe that i am in good hands. I've just started my journey but i hope there will still be more to add to my story.
