20 Months out
Jul 20, 2009
Just an update. Today I am 20 months out from my lapband surgery. I am at a stand still right now with my weight loss, but I am very happy to be where I am. My band is a little loose right now, but I am maintaining, so I am happy. After my gallbladder surgery a few months ago my band tightened up way too tight, so I had 1 cc taken out. I will get a little more added next month when I have my check up with my surgeon.
Here is a comparison pic that I took yesterday. Sorry about the poor quality, it was taken with my cell in bad lighting. It still gives a really good idea of how far I have come. I am very proud of myself. When I get frustrated I go back and look at these pictures that I have taken along the way. It really helps me appreciate where I am.
Until next time, just take everything one day at a time and remember to breathe!

18 Months out.
May 24, 2009
Hard to believe that is has already been a year and a half since I had my Band surgery. I can honestly say that this has been the best 18 months of my life!
I am now down 118.4 pounds. I had my gallbladder removed 3 weeks ago and this has made me feel like a new person! I haven't felt this good since I was about 13, but even then I weighed over 200 pounds, so now is even better than then!!
I have recently started exercising...I know, I know. But at least I am finally doing it! I currently weigh 188.6!! I am loving being this size!! I am between a 12 and 14!! I never have been in a 12 in my life until recently!! I am still not offically in a 12, but I did get on a pair of 12 jeans and they zipped!! They didn't look exactly like I would have liked, so I am holding off on buying them. LOL But I WILL have them!!
Here is a picture I took last night with my iPhone:
Just wanted to update my page for those that need to know that the Band does work!! I could not be where I am today without it!! If I can do it, anyone can!! It's far from easy, but it can be done if you know it will work!!!

Everything went really well with my gall bladder surgery!
May 01, 2009
Everything went really well with my surgery! I feel much, much better after this surgery compared to my band surgery. (And I didn't feel bad after my band, just sore.) I have been up and going and went with my husband to pick our boys up from school.
I had 8 - 10 marble sized gall stones! No wonder I felt bad all the time! I'm so glad I went ahead and had it removed. Thanks Dr. Kramer!!
Thanks to everyone for all of the well wishes!!! They are greatly appreciated!!

Surgery con't...

I just received a call from the hospital...I have to be there by 9am. So it is definitely official... I am having my gall bladder out tomorrow.
I am happy and dreading it at the same time. At least Dr Kramer is going to be the one doing my surgery...the same surgeon that placed my Band. He is a great surgeon, so that helps.
Time to start undoing my pedi and mani, take out my piercings, etc...
I'll update when I can. Thanks for all of the well wishes! They are very much appreciated!!

Surgery...

I'm having my gall bladder removed on Thursday, April 30 (only 3 days away)!
I've had problems with my gall bladder for years on and off, but the last 6 months have been the worst. My surgeon and I finally decided that it is time for it to come out. I went in for a fill today and had planned on discussing my gall bladder issues again, but never dreamed that I would be having surgery this week! When my surgeon looked at his OR schedule, he had this opening...if I didn't take it, it would have been a 3 or 4 week wait. I'm glad it is happening so quickly...less time to dread it!
Wish me luck! I can't wait to feel good again...it has been awhile.
