4 yrs post op today. woohoo.

Apr 12, 2012

well its been awhile. but I am doing great.  I have stabilized at a size 8. down from a 24 so VERY happy.  Had a tummy tuck last year, and I feel like a whole new person now.  I am still off all meds.  all I take are my vitamins.  my BP is usually at 104/64 or lower. I am down a total of 132lbs. I was a little lower but am very stable now. I did gain back about 17lbs. But i was looking to thin, and didnt like it. I can now walk 4 miles a day (havent lately though ugle weather) without any problems, not afraid to wear shorts or a swimsuit.

If you are thinking about this type of surgery, go into it with eyes open.  I still cannot eat my favorite.. BBQ spareribs, or spaghetti.  but thats okay.  and dinner out is alot cheaper cuz me and my boyfriend always just share a plate. my biggest issue is that sugar is not a real bother. wish it was.  but I only eat it once in awhile so as not to have an issue with it and gain weight back.

Good luck to all those thinking about this. and DO IT FOR YOURSELF. not any one else as to have NO REGRETS.

Wel since I first started this, I have seen my case manager, been thru all my classes, met with my dietician twice, and have lost 7lbs. I was hoping it was more but the dietician said 7lbs was great considering it was the holidays. instead of waiting 6mos. like the orignaltime frame was, it now looks like I will be ready in about 4 mos. YEA!!!!!! I can't wait to start a whole new chapter in my life. I also found out on New years day that I will be a 1st time grandma, I am very excited about that. I want the wait off NOW so I can paly with the baby as it grows older. Hope everyone had a great New years.
