Working off that Regain.....

It's been a while, but wanted to provide an update on my journey. Originally lost 131lbs 8 years ago, but over the last 2 years, I put 60lbs back on. At the beginning of 2013, it finally clicked that I had put back on too much weight. At first, I tried making healthier choices, but the weight wasn't really moving. Then in February, I saw a news program with a doctor talking about the 5:2 intermittent fasting diet. I did more research on intermittent fasting and figured I'd give it a try. Joined to track my calories and it's been going well for me. (Calories in some food is so shocking!) I've lost about 40lbs so far (March - July 2013). Really happy to get back on track. I feel like I can do this.

Intermittent fasting isn't for everyone, but it's working for me and I think I'll do it for a while. By the way, I only fast 2 days a week and it's not a complete fast. I limit my calories to 500 on my fasting days and eat normally for the rest of the week. Once I get to my goal weight, I'll only fast once a week. Feeling good again!
