This is it! I have finally begin done the steps  of my weightloss journey.  Yesterday, I went to my doctor's office and asked that she put in a referral and a letter of medical necessity to my insurance company so I can begin seeing the surgeon that I have picked out.  I'm very excited right now and I know this journey is hard but it is also life-changing.  I'll blog more after my seminar on 10/14/08.

This is my first blog just wanted to start by saying that yesterday was the beginning of my journeyto band land.  I went to my primary care doctor and discussed my need for a lap band.  I thought that she might not want to put the referral in for my insurance but she was actually pleased.  I go to a seminar on October 14, so that I can get this thing more in the works than just in my mind.  I'm so excited about everything and esecially the idea of starting a new, healthier life that I can hardly contain myself.  I'll blog more as things start to progress.
