I was always a Tom-boy. I LOVED nothing more than to run faster and jump higher in my PF-Flyers. I played sports from the time I was about 8. I know it saved me from having bigger problems than I did have with my weight as a youngster.  I played softball, but by third grade, I was a bit chubby. I kept active and in Jr. High was chubbier yet. But then I started with basketball to add to softball, track and bike riding. Even though I grew up in Seattle, I did not let the rain stop me from playing outside.

Once I left for college, though, things changed and dieting took the place of being as active. Later yet, I traded my cleats in for a spot on the couch and from there, things went south fast. Also, I hurt my back, only making activity more problematic.

I want to hike, ride bikes, golf. I want to enjoy life, nit just survive the pain. So here I am, looking to take drastic measures to take charge of my future!

I went to law school and got my law degree at 44. I am a practicing attorney doing everything I ever wanted. This is my big challenge now, to get my physical life together!
