Hey everyone, I know its been forever since I've put any updates on here. Life is crazy and I've been BUSY. But I have finally managed to put a few pics of the past year up on here for you guys to see some of my progress (and a little of what I've been up to).

A summary what I've done since I've had my surgery in October 2009:

Oct 2009- Jan 2010: Stayed with my parents in LA recovering before going home
Jan 2010: Moved to Munich, Germany (from Oslo, Norway)
Feb 2010: Traveled to India and back home to Munich
Mar - mid July 2010: Got settled in Munich
July - November 2010: Stayed in India
Nov 2010: Was at home in Munich for 1 WHOLE month! :)
Dec 2010 - beginning of Jan 2011: Visited my family in California
Jan 2011 - present: At home in Munich

but of course, I am going to India again on Friday. But this trip will only be 2 weeks long. i am looking forward to it though.

Anyways, I hope you guys check out my pictures and see what I've been up to and some of my progress. I am on my way!

I have been wanting to do this for a while now. Join me for a Nike+ challenge!

I find Nike+ challenges fun and MOTIVATING. So any of you out there with Nike+ hooked up to your ipod for your walks/runs please join me.

I have created two challenges to start with and just want to see if I can get anyone to join me. They are:

1. One mile a day challenge - a challenge to walk/run one mile a day. Designed to just keep you moving every day!

2. Battle of the Bariatric Surgeries - This challenge is just for fun, since everyone on this website seems to feel so passionatly about how their surgery is the 'best one'. SO, lets have more fun with it...choose which surgery you are representing and lets see who runs/walks the most miles after a few months!

Well today I am two weeks out and have lost 36 pounds. I think thats crazy. I am so excited.

I am still not feeling all that great but I know it is part of the process and just dealing with it. I am still exercising every day and up to 22 minutes of walking at a time. I am trying not to push myself too much as I am healing now.

Also one of my stiches opend up and is bleeding/leaking a little. But my mom (who is a nurse) said its no big deal.

All in all everything is going well so far!

I had my first appointment since my surgery today and had my drains removed. I am happy to have them gone now. I have also lost 20 pounds in a week and three days! Cool :)

Well, I just wanted to let everyone know that tommrow I will be one week out from my open DS surgery. I was in a lot more pain than I expected so far afterwards and the recovery is a little slower than I had expected - but found out that it is perfectly normal. I am very happy with how things are going so far. And am looking foward to a very bright future :)

Well, I should say that I have a 'tentative' date scheduled...and its so freaking quick after that long long long battle! October 26th.  I have to get a psych exam/review before then, so as long as I can get that taken care of, well, I am ready! I am more than ready.

I have been fighting with the insurance company for over 4 months now to get approved for DS surgery. They have already approved me for Gastric Bypass, but I knew that DS would be best for me. So I had to go through the process....

1) The insurance company took 30 days for the request
2) The insurance company took 30 days for the appeal
3) The DMHC appeal took 30 days - then there was a problem with my case so...
4) The DMHC took 33 more days and then FINALLY

THE CASE WAS DECIDED IN MY FAVOR!!!! I AM GETTING DS!!!! I AM SOOOO HAPPYY!!!!
