"Dr. McCarty is a really good surgeon, I felt extremely comfortable in his hands. I was his 4th VSG patient and did not have one qualm about him doing a new procedure on me. He is a cancer surgeon as well as a bariatric surgeon, he has done over 7000 surgeries and is always expanding his knowlege by visiting other docs to learn new stuff and he also teaches other surgeons as well. Personality, he is a nice man, concerned about your welfare and helpful. He has the typical surgeons demeanor, I think he would rather get on with fixing the problem at hand. A man of action. He was very helpful and informative during the weightloss surgery seminar at Baylor. I was suprised that the surgeons ran it...I guess I didn't expect to see him until my consultation. He has also been in the city magazine \"D\" listed as one of the top surgeons in Dallas as voted by his peers.
