Hi! I am currently a stay at home mom to three girls, living in Riverside, Ca. I am starting nursing school in the fall after plugging away for 10 years in between kids. I have been battling obesity most of my life and have done everything out there. My latest big attempt was Optifast in 2003. I lost 100 lbs and gained it back over the past 3 years. I have started Weight Watchers more times that I can count and I am done with the YOYO! I have been considering this surgery for more than 5 years and finally hubby is supportive and onboard. I am so excited!!! Right now I am pushing 300 lbs and am 5 ft 4 inches (maybe 4.5, but I will slouch LOL). That puts me just above 50 BMI. I have been suffering from plantar fasciitis for the past two years and had gestational diabetes. I am hoping I won't be in for a hard time getting referred to the bariatric program for Kaiser.
