I go in this Friday, October 3, 2008 for my Brachioplasty, auxilla removal, and breast augmentation.  I am excited and nervous at the same time.  Went to the doctor today and had my final measurments.  Friday I need to be inthe office at 6:30am for mark-ups and surgery will be about  8am.

Well it has been 21 months since surgery.  I have hit a plateau where I have been for about 5 months.  I am working out and have some buff arms now.  The big thing going on right now since my last post... I wasnot able to get pregnant so I started my plastic journey.  I have scheduled my first plastic surgery for Friday, October 3, 2008.  I am having my arms (brachioplasty), breast lift (mastoplexy), and implants.

I am looking at having a tummy tuck (Circumferential Adominoplasty) and thigh lift done in Fenruary or March of 2009.  More to follow soon.....

It has been a while since I have posted anything new here.  My schedule has been quite busy with work and travel.  I am down to 207 and fluctuates up with water gain and such up to 215.  My husband and I are trying to get pregnant again and I have started fertility treatments.  March was a month of shot with no success.  April... I have been on birth control preping my body for May when the shots will begin again.  If we have no success in May... we will be done trying.  I pray that we are successful with the ovary stimulation though.  This year we switched to the HMO just for this reason.  I thought I had 3 possible retrievals but the insurance company just informed me that since I had a live birth, state law only requires insurance companies to pay for 2 retrievals.

Today I got on the scale and it read 223 pounds.  After 17 years of being with my husband.... I finally weigh less than him!  What a wonderful feeling!

Today I met with a my new weight loss doctor... Dr. Roth at Northwestern.  I spoke to her about my weight loss and my desire to have another child.  Even though it has only been 8 months since the surgery.... she has given me the green light to begin trying to get pregnant.  She concurred with me and my concerns regarding my age.  She also was very pleased with my overall weight loss.  Even though I am not at my goal weight, the age factor outweighs the weight loss.  I have already schedule a visit with my fertility doctor to ensure everything is OK with me.  I need to know if I will be able to do this on our own or will we need intervention again.  If intervention is needed.... i.e. IVF... I probably will can the whole idea of having another child.  Just want to know where I stand and I do not want to waste any time when Tom and I actually decide to go for it.

It has been 8 months since my surgery and I am down 112 pounds and 60 inches! The weight is coming off much more slowly but it is still coming off. I have been working out with a trainer now since May. I have noticed a difference in my muscle tone even though the scale may not change. I still want to lose 60 pounds. Not sure if I will make it there by my 1 year surgiversary but I am determined to keep a positive outlook and as long as I keep losing.... All is Good!



   

I reached a 100 pound weight loss!  This week though I have been bouncing around.  I was in a week long conference where there was always food.  I did not work out due to the LONG days. And to top things off I had my period!

I plan to be back on track by the weekend and have myself at the gym for the next couple of days until my travel schedule kicks in again!  I would like to see -110 by July 12th.  Wish me luck!

Mother's Day was very nice.  We went for brunch at the Clubhouse.  The kids were wonderful as usual.  I was excited.... I bought my first new outfit.  22/24 top and 22 pants!  Just 5 months earlier I was in a size 32 pants! Life is good!  

Well it has been 4 month to the day since the surgery.  I have lost a total of 75 pounds.  The last month has been a slow month.  I only lost 6 pounds.  I had my follow-up visit with my surgeon.  He said I was doing well.  But he also said that I need to do everything that I can to get the weight off in the next 8 months.  He said it gets harder after a year to lose the weight.  My hope is that by June 12th, which will be my 6 month anniversary that I will be close to 100 pounds lost.  To do that I will need to lose 12.5 pounds each month.  I am determined to start my exercise routine.  I stopped by my new health club today and found out that M-F they are open 24/7.  I have decided that I will do a workout no matter what.  I can come home from a business trip and go right to the gym before coming home.  I need to do this for my kids and for ME!  I want to be a success with this surgery.  6 pounds in a month won't cut it.  

On another note... I stopped in a Lane Bryant today.  I am in a 22/24.  The 22 pants are snug still but I am able to zip them up and wear them.  It is such a great feeling to try clothes on again in a store and not from a catalogue.

I am a bit frustrated.  I did not get on the scale for a week.  I was on a vacation with my family with no scales around to step on every day.  I get on the scale the following morning of my return.  NOT EVEN ONE POUND LOST!  What is the deal!  It has been 2 full weeks since my last post and I am STUCK again!  I did not make my mini-goal I set for 75 pounds lost by the end of March.  Will I make 75 pounds by my 4 month surgiversary?  I am seeing the surgeon on April 12th.  I so hope I am down the 75 pounds by then.  I am going to try to get on the Gazelle for 15 minutes a night if it kills me!  And with my travel schedule right now... it just might!
