Oh how things change over the years...
I am now 40, still living in WV. Sadly, in 2011 my marriage ended in divorce. It was a very confusing and traumatic time for me as well as my children but overtime we have healed. My beautiful daughters have grown so much and I am so proud of them. 
My struggle with weight is still with me and very real. I am going forward with another attempt to get WLS/VSG. Wish me luck!!

Hey its me! 
I'm 33 and live in WV with my family. I'm married with three beautiful daughters. My issues with weight started when I was a child, I was always "chunky" but thinned out in my teen years, simply because I never ate.
I started gaining weight in my mid twenties. I now weigh 274 lbs and need to get control of my weight for my health. I went to my PCP 2 years ago with information about WLS, he was totally against it! so I decided to give all his methods a try. 
I believe I tried absolutely everything. I did have some sucess losing 24 lbs while on the diet medication Meridia but when I could not afford to get the pills re-filled becuase my insurance would not pay for them and they were very expensive, I slowly put the lbs back on. I have tried and failed too many times and I'm tired of failure. I'm tired of feeling like I'm less of a person because I'm fat.
I talked with my PCP and decided WLS was what I wanted to do. Unfortunatley he does not support this decision and I've had to find a new PCP. I can not do this alone and require help surgically and I'm ok with that! This is my decision and what I'm doing. I'm doing this for myself and my family because I want to LIVE and enjoy life, not just exisit.
