Let's see, where to begin......I won't go as far back as I COULD LOL! I am 38 years old and have always been "chunky" and started looking into WLS about 3 years ago. After numerous denial from insurance, including, "you haven't been heavy enough long enough", which I though was amusing, I finally ended up being a cash pay patient. And what a blessing in disguise! We all have our own journey and initially I was trying to be approved for RNY but have ended up with a Lap Band. I am happy to be a new "bandster" and cannot wait to see the results of my new life. I have a wonderful, supportive husband who is my soul mate and couldn't have done this without him! So....here's to a new lease on life :)
